Sr. Bigotis is a children’s book that I illustrated for Laika (an animal welfare organization) written by Alex Puig, with the goal to help the street cats. All the money was donated to that purpose.
We tried with the Sr. Bigotis story, to explain to the kids how a cat is feeling when he is lost, and to let the people know that street cats are not bad, they are necessary for our ecosystem in a controlled way.
It was successfully fundraised on a crowdfunding platform (Verkami) and the patrons could choose various rewards according to the money they contributed (cups, tote bags, the book, bookmarks, stickers…) As you can see in the mockup 🙂
We did a presentation of the book at Fnac (shops dedicated to books, entertainment, and culture), and now this book is in all the libraries in the country and all the schools for children. You can see too some pages of the illustrated book, and bot some different works for Laika: some postcards, posters, wallpapers, and bookmarks for Laika. Always happy to help 🙂
